The Institute of Contemporary Development hosted a roundtable on "Development of Private-Public Partnership in Russia's Regions (based on experience of the Central Federal District) or How to Boost Efficiency of the PPP".
The event focused on the following topics:
• Key drivers of infrastructural development and modernization (based on the regional PPP patterns and the problems affecting their efficiency);
• Key recommendations to federal authorities and regional administrations responsible for modernization of Russia's infrastructure and implementation of regional infrastructure projects respectively;
The Institute of Contemporary Development and the Center for Development of the Private-Public Partnership presented results of their joint research "Development of PPP in the Central Federal District: Investments and Infrastructure". The goal of this project was to collect and analyze information on development of PPP patterns and their implementation in 18 constituent entities of the Central Federal District.
The report and results of the roundtable discussion will serve as a background for preparation of materials for a meeting of the RF State Council, which focuses on boosting investment attractiveness of Russia's regions. The event in question will be chaired by the President Dmitry Medvedev, and will take place in Pskov this June.
