Experts Discussion “Current Status and Prospects of Russia-NATO Relations”

The Institute of Contemporary Development hosted a meeting between Russian experts and a group of state officials, public figures and heads of public organizations from various European countries. The event participants focused on the current status and prospects of Russia-NATO relations.

Among the foreign guests were a former UK Minister of Defence D. Brown, a former Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Kavan, a former Foreign Minister and Minister of Finance of Italy Giorgio La Malfa, a former Adviser on Nuclear Proliferation to the British Prime Minister and a an MP Shirley Williams etc.

Russia was represented by Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Contemporary Development Igor Yurgens, Director for International Development at INSOR Sergei Kulik, Research Manager at Informexpertiza Vladimir Rubanov, Director of the Center for Euro-Atlantic Security at Moscow State Institute of International Relations Alexander Nikitin etc.

The discussion focused on opportunities and routes of constructive relations between Russia and NATO, interaction problems and their possible solution.
