Pskov Region Administration and Institute of Contemporary Development Sign Cooperation Agreement

The administration of the Pskov region and the Institute of Contemporary Development signed a cooperation agreement on September 9.

The agreement was signed by Pskov Governor Andrei Turchak and Institute of Contemporary Development Management Board Chairman Igor Yurgens.

As indicated by the agreement, the two parties agreed to cooperate in order to achieve the maximum efficiency in performance while implementing the Strategy of the Pskov Region, as well as other government programs, strategies and projects. The realization of these programs will advanced the effectiveness of the process of resolving socio-economic development issues in the Pskov region and preparing and implementing best practices according to the example of the problem solving process. The resolution of the issues addressed in the Strategy of the Pskov Region will help guide the regional policy making process of the Russian Federation and the formulation of active and effective interregional cooperation as well as cooperation between the regional and federal authorities.

The cooperation is to include:
- expert and informational-analytic elaboration of the decisions related to the subject and the goals of cooperation, taking into account the anti-crisis adjustments for the necessary measures;
- the development of proposals to amend the corresponding documents, consultations and discussions with the involvement of experts at conferences, meetings and roundtables;
- the preparation of proposals for monitoring and advancing best practices and studying specialists in various levels of power.

The parties will promote the active inclusion in research of regional problems and the development of effective regional policies by intellectual elites, society and federal and regional organs of power. They will also hold systematic consultations, organize and participate in joint events (roundtables, presentations, expert discussions, etc.) and conduct joint work.
